Donate a Vehicle

Donate your car, boat, truck, RV, Jet Ski or snowmobile to West Suburban Humane Society and receive a tax deduction.

West Suburban Humane Society is partners with DonationLine LLC, a Vehicle Donation Charity fundraising agent, that helps individual vehicle donors seeking to support non-profit organizations around the country.

The no cost, no hassle process begins when you call Donation Line at 877-227-7487.  Make sure to ask for our extension, 2615. They also have an online vehicle donation form if you prefer to use that. Make sure to select “West Suburban No Kill Animal Shelter” from the dropdown list on that page. Please have your title in hand when you donate.

What can I donate?

Cars, trucks, motorcycles, vans, boats, jet skis, snowmobiles, motor homes, buses and even air planes.  It doesn’t even have to run.  Remember that you must have clear title.

Is my donation tax deductible?

WSHS Shelter is a non-profit corporation, so your donation is tax deductible.  Since each case is different, it is best to consult your tax advisor for details or visit www.irs.gov for a more detailed overview.

My car hasn’t run in years?

It still has salvage value and therefore will provide the WSHS Shelter with more funds.

Is there any cost to me?

No, the vehicle donation program pays for towing your vehicle.

What do I need to do to make a donation?

Have the title to the vehicle with you when you call.  Answer a few questions about the car, fill in the odometer reading and sign the title and then schedule a pickup time. You will be contacted by our towing agent within two business days and receive a tax donation letter in 6-8 weeks.  Towing service is available nationwide.  That’s it!
