I had no idea what was happening when I was taken to the local police department. Somehow in all of the chaos, my tail got seriously injured. Since I was originally adopted from this shelter, the folks here took me back. They had my painful tail looked at and the doc said we needed to cut off the bad part. Yeah, it sounds gross, but I feel so much better now: no more pain and a slightly shorter tail. Once my fur grows back, no one will even notice. Now that I feel better, I am just waiting for my new life to begin.
Update: After living in a cage for over a year, I was beginning to show the stress. I used to pace my cage like an unhappy lion. Now I am living in a temporary care home where I share a bedroom with my foster mom. this is ten times better than living in a cage, and hopefully a stepping stone to a forever home. If you would like to meet me, contact the shelter at adoptiondesk@wshs-dg.org or 630-960-9600 x10
